Councils are where WGF’s main mission gets executed – i.e., delivery of the promised impact on the target population at a desired scale, via the chosen portfolio of projects supporting each council’s aspirations and overall WGF aspirations.

Role of Councils

Councils draw upon the resources and expertise residing in the Committees to drive their project activities. Councils are led by 1-2 leaders with requisite thought-leadership and recognition in the vertical domain so as to draw in and inspire ecosystem (and guest members) to join and help execute their activities.

Rsponsibilities

♦ Define the charter and scope.

♦ Develop the organizational structure and roles.

♦ Build the team and capacity as per the project mix and volume requirements on an ongoing basis.

Collaborate with Committees for needed support.

Grow the pipeline of projects.

♦ Build advisory/participatory bench of SME / change-makers / thought-leaders.

♦ Identify clear WGF ‘value-add’ (in line with WGF’s stated differentiated value-proposition) to be layered on the existing project, and get alignment with the project owner entity.

♦ Project monitoring & oversight and adjustments to meet impact goals.

♦ Events and communications to inspire and engage alumni and the broader ecosystem.
