Improving the Lives in Rural India by Technology-enabled Solutions

Partners - Field Execution

Wheels Global Foundation’s entire strategy is ecosystem-centric. Wheels achieve its results through collaboration with on-the-ground execution partners as well as those bringing in necessary resources (technology, volunteers, expertise, funds, access, etc.).

We invite all impact-focused entities with a similar vision (‘Impacting 20% of India’s Rurban population by 2030”) to join us to make that a reality together. Our partners bring a very diverse set of capabilities such as:

    1. Mission Samriddhi: Mission Samriddhi (MS) is a social impact enterprise dedicated to holistic human development in India, through the design and development of projects that are sustainable and capable of scale to positively impact the larger population. WHEELS and MS are collaborating in various initiatives such as Aravalli Integrated Smart Village.
    2. Magan Sangrahalaya Samiti: Magan Sangrahalaya Samiti (MSS) is an NGO committed to the empowerment of women in rural communities in Seloo Block, Wardha district, Maharashtra. Over the years MSS has supported several women’s self-help groups and helped in starting up various eco-friendly micro enterprises run by women in their own villages.  Some of these enterprises like handmade soaps, candles, herbal products, fruit jam-making, gur (jaggery-organic brown sugar) production, bakery, and an organic cafeteria, etc. have become very successful and led to few more subsidiary units and boosted the employment opportunities in the villages considerably. WHEELS and MSS are collaborating in various initiatives such as Aravalli Integrated Smart Village.
    3. America India Foundation (AIF): The America India Foundation is committed to catalyzing social and economic change in India and building a lasting bridge between the United States and India through high-impact interventions in education, livelihoods, public health, and leadership development. Working closely with local communities, AIF partners with NGOs to develop and test innovative solutions and with governments to create and scale sustainable impact. WHEELS and AIF are collaborating in number of areas including education, healthcare and livelihoods.
    4. SEVAK Foundation: SEVAK is focused on bringing preventive care and wellness approach to address root-causes of rural health issues and help improve overall wellbeing in the villages. WHEELS and SEVAK has collaborated on brining telemedicine solution alongside the SEVAK model in several villages.
    5. Pratham: With its revolutionary program ‘“Teaching at the Right Level”, Pratham is focused on addressing the education quality in primary education in India’s public schools. Pratham focuses on high-quality, low-cost, and replicable interventions to address gaps in the education system. Established in 1995 to provide education to children in the slums of Mumbai, Pratham has grown both in scope and geographical coverage – touching 1.2million students across 22 States. WHEELS team has supported several of Pratham initiatives.
    6. EKAL Vidyalaya: Along with its flagship primary schooling program ’Single Teacher Schools’, Ekal is focused on holistic development of villages through empowerment of tribal (‘vanvasi’) and rural communities in India with basic education, digital literacy, skill development, health awareness, learning modern and productive agricultural practices and rural entrepreneurship. EKAL and WHEELS have collaborated to deploy innovative ‘EKAL on WHEELS’ using our Spoken Tutorials solution – essentially taking digital literacy to the doorsteps of rural learners.
    7. EkTara: Through its EkTara Learning Center in Kolkata’s slum area, Ek Tara has already helped 1300+ kids with holistic education and development. Their unique approach integrates for K-12 students a Science and Math (STEM) lab, an art room, a music room, a library, a multipurpose hall, an indoor game room, and an infirmary. WHEELS is supporting EkTara with integration of new skills into their model.
