Helping IIT students who come from underserved backgrounds to improve their quality of life

Shooting Stars Foundation believes that education is the only way to break the cycle of generational poverty. By providing STEM college scholarships to financially eligible students in India and Africa, as well as STEM education programs to undeserved communities in the U.S, the foundation supports and motivates young people as they work to achieve their dreams. See below for key details and then visit Shooting Stars website for more details.

Ø  Vision: Helping IIT students who come from undeserved backgrounds to improve their quality of life.

Ø  Mission : To support 100 IIT students each year with scholarships, training and mentorships.

Ø  Focus Area: Most of the existing scholars come from rural backgrounds, have less than  1,50,000 – 2,00,000 rupees annual family income, have a single parent and are mostly first graduates in their family. The focus will be on enabling these deserving students with scholarships, training, mentorships and excellent placements.

Ø  Geographical scope: PAN India (23 IITs)
