“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to them who prepare for it today.”
WHEELS supports the notion that Integrated Smart Village Development builds on Education as the foundation that leads to innovation, and entrepreneurship for transforming lives. The objective for this webinar is to learn from four leading NGOs with an impressive track record for doing yeoman service in the communities they serve. Pratham and Ekal Vidyalaya are known worldwide for their work in Education in secondary/high school and Primary Schools respectively.
PARFI has been very innovative in developing a Public-Private-Partnership to build a skills development program in Jharkhand and other states, and the Rural Development Trust in Ananthpur, Andhra Pradesh, has implemented a ‘model’ for Integrated Rural Development. Over 70 years, RDT has transformed the lives in over 3000 villages through education, healthcare, and now together with WHEELS, implementing a project on Entrepreneurship in a remote tribal area.
Webinar speaker’s panel will discuss how they can collaborate to structure a holistic education strategy that will deliver market-aligned skills that will affect not only the lives of those who go on to professional colleges like engineering, medical, law, business, etc but also those who cannot afford or not capable of those professions. Pratham and Ekal will explore how they can collaborate to integrate their efforts into primary high school and with PARFI for complementary Vocational skill development providing access to opportunities to all sectors of Rural Youths. RDT will explore how to integrate the above educational opportunities into the Integrated Rural development model they are working with WHEELS Smart Village Cluster Pilot to create entrepreneurship and job creation that create sustainability in Rural lives.
