Committees act as horizontal resource/capacity pools that support project execution activities of all vertically organized WGF Councils. They develop a comprehensive charter of the activities that need to be driven in their domain for WGF’s overall success (i.e., long-term vision as well as current year goals).

Ashish Kumar Deo

Based in London, Ashish focuses on the demand creation part of the new GAIN strategy to improve quality of diets and brings over 30 years of marketing and commercial experience to this role.

Ashish spent over 20 years in private sector, starting with Procter & Gamble in India and then with Diageo in global roles in marketing, business strategy and supply chain strategy, including Procurement.  

Since 2010, Ashish has been in the not-for-profit sector, initially as Commercial Director of the Fairtrade Foundation, an ethical labeling organization in the UK. He has been in the nutrition sector since 2015, starting with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and then moving to GAIN in May 2017.

Anurag Srivastava

Anurag Srivastava brings a wealth of experience in Data Science and AI from his work with leading financial institutions to his role at WHEELS Global Foundation. As the Head of Data Science at One Assist Consumer Solutions, he has pioneered AI-driven solutions to enhance customer experiences and improve fraud detection. His professional journey includes impactful tenures at HSBC, American Express, PayU and Billdesk owned Loylty Rewardz where he developed and implemented strategies that significantly improved risk management, marketing strategies and operational efficiencies.

Anurag completed his dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 2011. His deep understanding of analytics and product management equips him to contribute significantly to WHEELS’ marketing strategies and other critical initiatives, aligning with the foundation’s mission to leverage technology for global betterment.

Mahendra Shukla

Mahendra Shukla is an IIT Kharagpur alumnus from the batch 2007-12. As the founder of Web Saga, a social media agency, he is dedicated in supporting startup founders in realizing their dreams by providing effective marketing solutions. Additionally, he leads outreach efforts for various social organizations, including UPAY.

Since 2015, Mahendra has been deeply involved in digital marketing. Through his ventures, Web Saga and The Xennial Traveler, he has helped more than 50 entrepreneurs craft effective marketing strategies, including numerous startups and businesses. Mahendra is the member of Marketing & Communication Committee at WGF.

Dr. Raghavan Ramanan

Dr. “Ram” Raghavan Ramanan is the Chairman of the Sustainability Council and the Global Co-convenor of WGF Chapters.

Dr. Ram, Co-founder, Stealth Start-upa Fulbright Leadership Scholar, a globally recognized expert in Sustainability, ESG and CSR through experience garnered over four decades in corporate (ExxonMobil), consulting (AECOM, ICF and Trinity), and academic environments (Illinois Institute of Technology, Desert Research Institute and Indian Institute of Technology). He is an Environmental Leadership Fulbright Fellow (US Department of State) and a Professional Engineer in Texas, UK, and India. He serves as a Board Member and the Chair of the Education Council of Air & Waste Management Association International (Founded 1907).

  • Dr. Ram has presented and published scientific and management papers worldwide. His book, “Introduction to Sustainability Analytics”, CRC Press 2018, one of the first on the subject, provides leaders insight into the value of stakeholder primacy and the process of identifying sustainability metrics that are material and relevant to their establishment. His prior book (co-authored), “Environmental Ethics and Sustainability”, CRC Press 2013 promotes ethics as the 4th bottom line of sustainability.

Praveen Kumar

Praveen Kumar, a board member of Pan IIT Alumni India, graduated from IIT Delhi in 2010. Currently, he serves as a Superintendent Engineer at ONGC. Alongside his professional pursuits, Praveen is actively engaged in various social organizations, driven by his passion for social work.

PanIIT Alumni India (Pan IIT) is an umbrella organization, representing alumni of all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is a not-for-profit Society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The movement, over the years, has developed and and spread in various parts of the world. Besides India, it has a very active presence in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Korea, Singapore, and Australia.

Kishan Goenka

Kishan has held executive leadership roles in corporations across three continents over nearly four decades of illustrious career – from vice-president at Hindustan Gas & Industries to running Birla International’s Europe operations, and then country head for PT. Akraya and Mediterranean Fertilizers Company. He has also held board roles at several corporations including Clean Energy India AG, Vasundhara Bio Sciences Pvt Ltd, and Akraya Energy International Pvt. Ltd. All along, Kishan has been a passionate Rotarian with nearly 40-years of service. Additionally, he has supported several other impact organizations including PHS, ESRAG, and ISKCON.

Kishan has a B.Tech (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT- Kharagpur) and an MBA in BITS Pilani, India.


Indrajit Chatterjee

Indrajit is the Chair of the Energy Council and Global Co-convenor of WGF Chapters.

Indrajit has over 45 years of experience in strategy planning, manufacturing management, engineering projects, and design. Proven credentials in leading business units (FMCG/multinationals) in India. After his graduation, Indrajit has done many executive management programs, including a course on IoT from Massachusetts Institute of Technology- Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, MA, on Manufacturing from the University of Warwick, UK, and many others from IIMs. A visionary all through, he got personally inspired by Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and started giving back to the country. He spends his time focussing on education and rural development areas. He has conceived an intelligent village concept.

Indrajit received his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering at IIT-Kharagpur in 1970.

Ratan Agarwal

Ratan Agarwal serves on the Wheels’ Board as President, bringing nearly three decades of rich experience in building and scaling multiple new start-ups and executive roles (in strategy, operations, marketing, and business development) at several Fortune 500 companies. Currently, Ratan is a co-founder and managing partner of CARBON Group Global, a global sustainability solutions-holding company, creating rapid replications (‘CARBON Copies”) of proven solutions with market-based models in Education & Learning, Women’s Empowerment, Resources (Food, Energy, Water), Health, and Economic Development.

In addition to the CARBON role, Ratan is dedicating his time in supporting innovation ecosystem in northeast corridor through his investment activities (via Keiretsu Forum and Mid-Atlantic Bo-Angels) and mentoring (at local incubator TechLaunch NJ). Ratan is a Board Advisor to several start-ups in Cloud/SaaS, software, and digital marketing.

While at Cisco, Ratan led the incubation and launch of Cisco’s IoT solutions and Cloud Infrastructure services, in addition to running a multi-billion global services business. Prior to Cisco, Ratan led the marketing & business development of two business units at Telcordia and led several consulting engagements at A.T. Kearney. Ratan received his MBA at Wharton School and Masters in Structural Engineering at IIT Bombay and lives in New Jersey.

Himanshu Verma

Himanshu Verma

Himanshu Verma serves on the Wheels’ Board as Vice-President& Secretary and is an entrepreneur who applies Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to create innovative applications. Over the last 20 years, he has managed the conceptualization, planning, delivery, maintenance, and retirement of Analytic, Data Visualization, GIS, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, Data Integration, Data Mining, and Text Mining, eDiscovery & predictive AI solutions. He specializes in designs of massively parallel (MPP), high volume, low latency big data solutions.

He has successfully played diverse roles as a Chief Technology Officer, Enterprise Information Architect, Data Integration Architect, Data Architect, Solution Architect, and Project Manager. He undertakes tasks related to Solution Architecture, Strategy & Vision, Requirements Gathering, Data Modeling, Project Management, Big Data Architecture, and Technology/talent acquisition.

He has worked on multi-million-dollar projects with Knightsbridge, Capgemini Ernst &Young, IBM & Y-Point Analytics across Health Insurance (BCBS), Federal (Securities and Exchange Commission – SEC, General Services Administration – GSA, Dept of Education), Telecom (Comcast, Nextel, Sprint), Security (ADT), Startup’s (SeniorLink, Upsell, Crisis Resolve – AI Mental Health, EPID Safe Contact Tracing), Retail Banking (Bank of Colombia), Logistics (FedEx), Mortgage (Freddie Mac), Investment Banking (JPMC) Retail (Cargill), Low Income Housing (DC Housing).

He has his undergraduate B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay & his Master in Information Management from the University of Akron.

Sushil Bhatia

Dr. Sushil Bhatia is the President of Anu Data Inc. He pursued his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 1966 and later Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1972. Co-chairman of the Water Council at WGF.

Recollecting memories associated with IIT Bombay, he said, “Those were the days. First time out of my parents’ house and living by myself. Making new friends, playing, teasing, bonding, having fun along with learning technical skills. Learning to learn technology as well as dealing with people”.

Pradip Nadkarni

Mr. Pradip Nadkarni is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and the Founder of Paradigm Inc., a management consulting company. He set up the international division at Bharat Forge Ltd. He is a member on the Board of Directors of Kalyani Forge Ltd and Johnson Controls Automotive Ltd. 

Pradip is the Secretary on the WGF India board and takes care of all the legal statutory requirements.
